Shido Itsuka, a high-school student, comes across a strange girl at the site of one of the quakes. Kotori, Shido’s sister, tells him that the girl he found is a spirit from another dimension, and these spirits are responsible for these quakes. Kotori also reveals that she is the commander of an airship known as Fraxinus.

Shido is approached by a company called Ratatoskr to seal the spirits’ powers using his mysterious abilities. But, the task is not as easy as it sounds. For him to seal the spirit, he should get the spirit to fall in love with him and kiss him. On his quest, Shido and his comrades are opposed by Sir Isaac Ray Pelham Westcott, who wants to use these spirits’ powers for his secretive use. Aided by his friends, Shido successfully starts sealing spirits away. This led to more competition among the spirits themselves to grab his attention.
