Family Guy and American Dad creator Seth MacFarlane exited both series in support of the ongoing writers’ strike.


Per Deadline, MacFarlane has left both hit Fox series along with their respective showrunners amidst the ongoing strike. MacFarlane, American Dad‘s Brian Boyle and Matt Weitzman, and Family Guy‘s Rich Appel and Alec Sulkin reportedly made a point to the studio that none of them will be returning to work so long as the Writers Guild of America continues to strike. MacFarlane has been openly supportive of the strike, which began on May 2, with photos surfacing of him making appearances on the picket line alongside other union members.
