Karneval Manga Ends in October After 14 Years

The November issue of Ichijinsha‘s Monthly Comic Zero-Sum magazine revealed on Tuesday that Touya Mikanagi‘s Karneval manga will end in the magazine’s next issue on October 28. The next issue will also feature a full-color booklet for the manga, as well as a supplement bundled with the magazine. The manga will feature on the cover of the magazine and the final chapter will have an opening color page.

Yen Press is publishing the manga in English, and it describes the story:

Nai – a young man who travels in search of another by the name of Karoku, a lone bracelet his only lead. Gareki – a willful young man who earns his daily bread by thieving and picking pockets. Thrown together at an eerie mansion, where they are entrapped and framed, Nai and Gareki are soon hunted down as criminals by national security forces. As they are driven into a corner, before them appears the most powerful defense agency in the country, “Circus”!!

Mikanagi launched the fantasy action series in the Monthly Comic Zero-Sum magazine in 2007, and Ichijinsha published the manga’s 27th compiled book volume on April 24. Yen Press published the 12th volume on July 27.

The series inspired a television anime in 2013. Funimation released the complete series on Blu-ray Disc and DVD in North America in June 2014, and again in 2016 and 2020.
