The Miraculous: Ladybug & Cat Noir movie is coming to Netflix as the film’s first trailer sets up a magical adventure filled with plenty of action.
Released on the Netflix Geeked Twitter account, the trailer sets up what appears to be an origin story as Marinette struggles with her everyday life only to fall into a mysterious room and encounter Tikki, a fairy-like creature known as a kwami, that grants her magical earrings. The stylish jewelry allows her to take on the form of Ladybug, a powerful superhero that’s able to zip across Paris to fight evil. While the trailer doesn’t give away any further details on the plot, it doesn’t conclude with Tikki hinting that another superhero roams the streets as Cat Noir reveals himself with an elegant “Bonjour!”
Miraculous: Ladybug and Cat Noir The Movie hits Netflix on July 28 but arrives in France on July 5.
