New high-res images from The Flash give fans a sneak peek at the DC Universe film’s various costumes.

A set of four images posted to Twitter on May 10 by user @thesebbazz include new looks at one version of the titular hero’s Batman-inspired costume, which appears to actually be an actual Batman suit painted red and emblazoned with the Flash’s iconic lightning bolt. The images also include a bright and shining shot of Sasha Calle’s Supergirl, as well as the Flash’s ring that houses is modern suit.

The Flash will bring Ezra Miller’s Barry Allen racing back onto the silver screen for a multiversal adventure that will include multiple versions of himself and the Dark Knight teaming up to take on a variety of threats ranging from Michael Shannon’s General Zod to a twisted version of the Scarlet Speedster. As the official synopsis for The Flash explains, when Barry’s “attempt to save his family inadvertently alters the future… there are no Super Heroes to turn to. That is unless Barry can coax a very different Batman out of retirement and rescue an imprisoned Kryptonian… albeit not the one he’s looking for.”

The Flash’s Long Run to Release

Though the film’s production has been mired with delays and controversies surrounding its lead, Shannon recently opened up about his time working alongside Miller. “I thought Ezra was lovely—very kind to me when I was there,” Shannon said. The returning Zod actor went on to regard the difficulties inherent to working in show business before noting that, “any time somebody is out in the spotlight getting picked on, I feel for them. Even if it’s warranted, it’s still a horrible situation.”

The Flash will also see two previous Dark Knight actors return to the role in the form of Ben Affleck and Michael Keaton, both of whom will be reprising their respective takes on the character. In April 2023, producer Barbara Muschietti discussed the making of the film, mentioning how grateful she was to have had the opportunity to work with Keaton in the process. “On a personal note, I wanted to see Keaton play Batman again,” Muschietti admitted. The producer added of her experience working with Keaton, “Michael was amazing… He is the most energetic human being you’ll ever meet.”

The Flash is set to race into theaters on June 16.
