One Piece Odyssey

Eiichiro Oda’s manga series One Piece was first published in 1997, and in 1999, it was adapted into an anime that now has 20 seasons and several movies. After over 20 years of the celebrated story’s popularity, One Piece Odyssey was announced in March 2022 and released on Jan. 13, 2023. The game is currently available on PlayStation 4, PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.

One Piece Odyssey takes place in the world of the anime and manga. Accordingly, the game is full of pirates, Marines, and Devil Fruits that grant the eater special abilities, but it takes place in a new location — an island called Waford. After washing up on the island’s shore after a storm at sea, the main crew excitedly explores, only to find that there is more to the island than what they first thought. Fans of the anime and manga can look forward to playing a handful of memorable characters, and each one brings new abilities and strengths to the game’s quests and dungeons.
