Pregnant WandaVision Fan Debuts a Unique Scarlet Witch Cosplay

Lis Wonder as Wanda Maximoff from WandaVision

Cosplayer Lis Wonder shares footage of herself perfectly recreating a scene from the Disney+ series WandaVision as a pregnant Scarlet Witch.

Social media influencer Lis Wonder has shared images of herself cosplaying as a very specific version of Wanda Maximoff/Scarlet Witch from the hit Disney+ limited series WandaVision.

The pregnant cosplayer recently posted a video on Twitter of herself re-enacting and lip-syncing to a scene from WandaVision where Wanda feels her babies kick. “Wanda is here,” Wonder captioned the post, which also included a still of the cosplayer in Wanda’s 1970s attire. “#wandavision cosplay! Thanks to @revved_harley for lending me this cosplay I had too much fun! Wandavision was one of my fave Disney+ Shows and I miss mama Wanda so much!”

Directed by Matt Shakman, WandaVision premiered on Disney+ in 2021, as the first Phase 4 title in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The limited series follows Wanda Maximoff (Elizabeth Olsen) and Vision (Paul Bettany) as they live an idyllic suburban life in the town of Westview, New Jersey. However, they begin to suspect everything is not as it seems when reality starts moving through different decades of sitcom homages and television tropes. Following the series finale of WandaVision, Wanda’s story was continued in 2022’s Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. Marvel Studios is also working on two follow-up series — Agatha: Coven of Chaos and Vision Quest — which will be headlined by Agatha Harkness (Kathryn Hahn) and Bettany’s White Vision, respectively.

What’s Next for the Scarlet Witch?

Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness marks the latest appearance of Olsen as Scarlet Witch, a role she has played in the MCU since 2014’s Captain America: The Winter Soldier. However, despite seemingly perishing at the end of Multiverse of Madness, Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige has hinted that the Scarlet Witch’s story is far from finished and that the character may yet return in a future film or series. “There really is so much more to explore. We still haven’t touched on many of her core storylines from the comics,” Feige said in September 2022. “Anything’s possible in the multiverse! We’ll have to see.”

While Scarlet Witch’s live-action future remains shrouded in mystery, Olsen has confirmed that she would be open to returning as the former Avenger as long as Marvel committed to moving Scarlet Witch’s story forward. “I think I would,” Olsen replied when asked if she would welcome the chance to return to the MCU. “But it really needs to be a good story. I think these films are best when it’s not about creating content, but about having a very strong point of view — not because you need to have a three-picture plan.” Olsen is expected to return as the voice of the Scarlet Witch in the upcoming season of the animated Disney+ series What If…?, which will premiere in 2023.

WandaVision is currently streaming on Disney+.
