Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania debuts a striking new poster spotlighting the iconic superhero family in their powered-up helmets.

Disney and Marvel Studios unveiled the official 4DX poster for Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania.

CBR has the exclusive image, which comprises a close-up shot of the titular Ant-Man (Paul Rudd) and Wasp (Evangeline Lilly) alongside Marvel Cinematic Universe newcomer Stature (Kathryn Newton). The color scheme is evocative of the scenery of the Quantum Realm, the microscopic location the family of superheroes is set to visit in Quantumania. The 4DX version of the film will see Ant-Man and The Wasp’s latest story viewable on 270-degree panoramic ScreenX theaters and multi-sensory 4DX theaters which will allow audiences to be “absorbed into the action adventure” with special effects like vibration, water, wind, snow and lightning.

Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania marks the official starting point of the MCU’s Phase 5, further expanding what Marvel Studios’ has labeled “The Multiverse Saga.” The film will see the eponymous heroes embarking on a quest to the Quantum Realm where they come face-to-face with the deadly Kang the Conqueror (Jonathan Majors), who is looking to escape the subatomic dimension and establish his reality-spanning dynasty. Quantumania will also see Michael Douglas reprising his role as Hank Pym and Michelle Pfeiffer returning as Janet van Dyne, the original Wasp.

Ant-Man Vs. Kang

While Marvel fans may be excited to see Ant-Man and The Wasp taking on another imposing foe, all eyes are currently on Kang as the classic Avengers villain is posed to serve as the MCU’s next big bad. Having first donned the robes of the iconic time-traveler in Loki, Majors will be playing a decidedly more brutal take on the character in Quantumania. “You’re being introduced to a new vibration in the MCU,” Majors said. “There’s conflict – not just mano-a-mano, not just hero and villain, but ‘your way of life’ and ‘my way of life’. I’m coming for it. We’re in battle here.”

As for Quantumania‘s scale, the film’s creative team has promised that it will have far-reaching consequences for the rest of the MCU. “Coming after the Avengers movies, phrases like ‘palate cleanser’ had been thrown around about the Ant-Man movies,” said director Peyton Reed. “[We felt] if we’re getting a chance at part three, we want the film to be big and feel central to the future of the MCU.”

Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania arrives in ScreenX and 4DX theaters on Feb. 17.
