Adult Swim announces that it is cutting all ties with Rick and Morty co-creator, Justin Roiland, following his recent felony domestic violence charge. Besides co-creating the series with Dan Harmon, Roliand is also a significant voice acting presence on the series, performing the voices for both Rick Sanchez and his grandson, Morty Smith. Roiland’s voice roles will all be re-cast on the show, which is not even halfway through a 70-episode order that it received from Cartoon Network in 2018.
Adult Swim/Cartoon Network/Boomerang svp communications Mairie Moore said in a statement that “Adult Swim has ended its association with Justin Roiland.”
