The official website of the Goblin Slayer 2nd Season television anime revealed the main staff, returning cast, and a teaser promo on Thursday. The anime series is scheduled to broadcast in 2023.

The anime series adapts Kumo Kagyuu’s dark fantasy light novel, which began publishing through SB Creative’s GA Bunko imprint in February 2016, with illustrations by Noboru Kannatsuki. The 16th volume was shipped in July 2022.

Kousuke Kurose began drawing a manga adaptation in Big Gangan magazine in May 2016. Square Enix published the 13th volume in August 2022.

Yen Press licensed both the light novel and manga adaptation in English in May 2016. The 14th light novel volume went on sale in August 2022, with the 15th volume scheduled to be released on January 17. The 11th manga volume shipped in April 2022. The company is also publishing the Goblin Slayer Gaiden: Year One (Goblin Slayer Side Story: Year One) and Goblin Slayer: Brand New Day side stories.
