The story follows two young American Malayalees on their voyage to Kerala.  The film was loved by a variety of audiences it was remade in Telugu too. Allu Sirish was in the lead role in the Telugu remake.

The plot centers around two pampered Americans, Johns Isaac and his cousin Korah Murikken, who were both born in the United States. Johns is the son of a New York-based millionaire called Isaac Johns, while Korah’s mother has moved to Paris with her new spouse. Johns and Korah live opulent lives, driving fancy automobiles, frequenting bars and nightclubs, and engaging in public pranks, among other things. Isaac decides to bring them both to India for a holiday before Johns begins his MBA courses in Melbourne the following month. He does, however, put a hold on John and Korah’s credit cards once they arrive. Johns and Korah first stay in a posh hotel flat, oblivious to the fact that their credit cards are worthless.

2. Neelaksham Pachakadal Chuvanna Bhoomi

Another Malayalam movie Neelaksham Pachakadal Chuvanna Bhoomi was released in 2013 and has the main lead Salmaan. Sameer Thahir directed and co-produced Neelakasham Pachakadal Chuvanna Bhoomi. 3. Banglore Days

Rom-com Banglore Days was a treat to teen fans of Dulquer Salmaan. Bangalore Days is a romantic comedy-drama film released in Malayalam in 2014. Anjali Menon wrote and directed the film. Nazriya Nazim, Nivin Pauly, Dulquer Salmaan, Fahadh Faasil, Parvathy Thiruvothu, Isha Talwar, and Paris Laxmi are among the ensemble cast members. Nithya Menen makes a guest appearance.

The story follows three cousins from Kerala who relocate to Bangalore, following Menon’s tradition of films on family ties. The film was released in so many theatres that it is considered one of the most released Malayalam films in the industry. It garnered excellent reviews.

4. Vikramadithyan

Another genre that Dulquer tried was action-comedy and this too worked really well for him. Unni Mukundan and Dulquer Salmaan are the main leads of Vikramadithyan. Kunjunni Menon, a burglar, is over heels in love with Lakshmi, a police policeman. He discovers her desire to marry a police officer while following her one day. Despite his mother’s concerns, Laksmi’s colleague Vasudeva Shenoy announces his wish to marry her. Kunjunni impersonates a police officer and marries Lakshmi before Shenoy can persuade his mother. Shenoy then marries, and on the same day, both couples are blessed with a newborn boy. Vikram, Shenoy’s son, is now a SI and proposes to Deepika, a childhood friend, only a week before joining. The entire story revolves around the pair and their chemistry in the film was loved by the audience a lot.


5. Charlie

In 2015, adventure drama was on Dulquer Salmaan’s list. Charlie is a Malayalam-language adventure drama film released in 2015. Martin Prakkat directed the film. The director also co-wrote with Unni R. Dulquer Salmaan and Parvathy was paired up for the film. The picture was released on December 24th. The film was one of the major breakthroughs for Salmaan Dulquer. He received a lot of recognition after the release of Charlie. 6. Kammatipaadam

Another Salmaan film that should definitely hit your watch-list is Kammatipaadam as the film was a huge success. The film is set in Kammattippaadam, a slum neighborhood in Kochi, Kerala. It focuses on how the Dalit community was compelled to give up their lands to real-estate mafias, as well as how Kochi’s contemporary urbanization took place at the expense of the Dalits’ struggle. The film received various awards from best actor to production to cinematography to special effects. The film was considered one of the finest films in the Malayalam film industry.

Avinash Rajpurohit works for a Bengaluru-based IT firm. He dislikes his work and his supervisor and was forced into it by his father Prakash, with whom he had a strained relationship and who was unsupportive of Avinash’s photography hobby. One night, he receives a call from a travel agency informing him that his father has died in a car accident and that the body would be sent to him. He accepts a corpse and gives it over to Shaukat, his van driver pal. They find it in the body of an elderly woman as they are going to bury it. This is where the suspenseful Karwaan begins. 

9. The Zoya Factor

The Zoya factor is a rom-com released in 2019. Dulquer Salmaan and Sonam Kapoor star in the film. The film is a light version of Anuja Chauhan’s 2008 novel. The storyline revolves around the narrative of Zoya Solanki, a girl who becomes a fortunate charm for the Indian cricket team captain Nikhil Khoda. There is an interesting thing about the main lead that he does not believe in luck or superstitions. This was Salmaan Dulquer’s second hindi film.

10. Kurup

One of the interesting facts about Kurup is that Salmaan produced as well as acted in the film. The film was released in 2021. The film centers around Kerala. When a subordinate arrives to notify Krishnadas, a former SP of Kerala Police, that an IB report has warned against the approach of a criminal, he prepares to attend a send-off celebration organized by his colleagues.

When the officer learns that Das is retiring, he searches Das’s cabinet for one of his case journals. Krishnadas is well known for his role as a DYSP officer in the famous Charlie murder case, which cleared the door for a still-untraced fugitive called Sukumara Kurup. The narrative of Kurup unfolds on screen as the officer goes through the journal. The film received a great response from the audience from all corners of India.
